When you first set up your site, you'll want to customize it to meet your needs. To get started with making your site look like what you want, you can edit the following items:

  • Use the File Manager to replace the logo in the images directory with your own.
  • Edit your site's header,  footer,  or sidebar.
  • Use the  File Manager to edit your site template.  Note that there are some common commands in the template for putting in the page elements.  These commands are very simple, and feel free to take a look at the existing template to see how to use them.

Some common tips:

  • When you edit pages, do not worry about the layout and appearance of text. Let the site's chosen styles dictate  your page text so that all your text has a common experience.  Instead, worry about the structure, rather than the appearance of your page body text.
  • Feel free to insert tables into your body text if you need precise layout control, but for most items such as images, using left or right justified images may make your layout flow more naturally.
  • If you put a template, sidebar, header, or footer inside a subdirectory, then pages inside that subdirectory will use that navigational element instead of your main one.
